Life
teaches us that, fundamentally, we can trust whatever stage is coming
next; it may be a difficult transition, but it allows for new life to
emerge. We may get ill if we resist that process. That resistance is
usually due to fear of the unknown, and a deep-seated attachment to
familiar ways of being. Because life teaches us that we can trust
whatever is coming next, it also teaches us to trust death. Life becomes
something to look forward to, as does death.
Death belongs in the West
of the Medicine Wheel: being on the Blue Road (East-West), it is best
seen as a gift from Spirit. I talked about this subject today for the
